About Wedge Beach

Wedge Beach is a popular surfing spot located to the right of the beachfront's new pier in Durban. The name of the beach is related to surfing, as with most of Durban's beach names. It refers to the typical A-frame shape of the waves at this beach. It is ideal for surfers, swimmers and sunbathers, and due to Durban's tropical climate it is warm enough to spend a relaxing day on the beach even during winter.
