Travel an adventurous, scenic dirt road and hidden in the Makungutsha Mountains you will find Wide Horizons exclusive tented camp. This secluded hideaway is located in the bush and has amazing views. Take advantage of the many trails through indigenous forests and up mountain paths or just relax and indulge in the scenery.Enjoy a drink on the veranda while watching the sun set, sit around the fire under African skies or treat yourself to a hot bath by candle light in this tranquil environment. Important Information
Booking & payment
A booking is made upon confirmation in writing with a booking reference & receipt of deposit.
Full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. 50 % deposit is due 31 days or more prior to arrival. In the event
of non-payment of a deposit or balance due, Wide Horizons Mountain Retreat reserves the right to cancel any
bookings without notice or liability to the client. Please note payment is the client’s responsibility. Please note
that any international bank charges or transaction fees incurred during the payment process are the
responsibility of the client and will be borne by the client.
Cancellations
Having confirmed your booking, you have concluded a contract with us and we are holding your accommodation
exclusively for you. Because the room is kept for you, it is unavailable for others to book. Cancellations pose a
significant challenge for our operations as we turn away other potential guests during the time your room was
reserved for you. Because of this, kindly be understanding of our cancellation policy which helps to balance the
potential loss of revenue whilst ensuring the sustainability of our services for all guests. If in doubt when
booking, we recommend travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that may arise.
Cancellations will attract the following fees
• 30 days prior to arrival (and no shows) – 100% of the total booking amount
• 31 - 90 days prior to arrival - 50% of the total booking amount
• 91 days or more prior to arrival - 25% of the booking amount

Children between 2-12 years pay half price
Check in: 2pm-5pm
A late check-in fee of E200 is due thereafter. Please allow at least 1 hour to travel from Malkerns or
Matsapha, depending on driving speed. Wide Horizons Mountain Retreat is off-the-beaten-track and access
is by a rural gravel road. A high clearance vehicle is advised. In wet conditions a 4x4
may be required
