About Weltevrede Cottages

Weltevrede Cottages are situated on Weltevrede Wine Estate in the heart of the Breede River Valley, close to Route 62 and only two hours' drive from Cape Town.We offer three cottages, each fully-equipped for self-catering. Linen and towels are provided as well as coffee, tea, freshly baked rusks, and a bottle of Weltevrede wine and grape juice.Recreational activities on the estate include picturesque hiking trails, while fishing and swimming can be enjoyed on the Breede River. If you’d like to, you could even bring your own bicycle or canoe, and bird watchers will enjoy

Weltevrede Cottages are situated on Weltevrede Wine Estate in the heart of the Breede River Valley, close to Route 62 and only two hours' drive from Cape Town.

We offer three cottages, each fully-equipped for self-catering. Linen and towels are provided as well as coffee, tea, freshly baked rusks, and a bottle of Weltevrede wine and grape juice.

Recreational activities on the estate include picturesque hiking trails, while fishing and swimming can be enjoyed on the Breede River. If you’d like to, you could even bring your own bicycle or canoe, and bird watchers will enjoy the large variety of water birds in the area.

We'd also be happy to assist in booking for golf, bowls, squash or tennis, which can be enjoyed some 4 km from the estate.

★★★★★ It was the perfect breakaway weekend, we had a lovely rest and loved the stunning view. The Belvedere cottage was nice and clean and the kitchen was well equipped with the smallest details (like salt and pepper). The fireplace was fantastic to keep us warm as well.

★★★★★ The cottage was situated on a beautiful farm with stunning views over the vineyards, the dam and the water canal. It was great to be able to walk around the farm and watch / photograph the stunning sunsets. The bed was very comfortable and the towels and linen were perfect.
