Vikings Rest is wheelchair friendly. A stone floor, brick wall cottage with built in braai's on the patio overlooking the garden. The kitchen is modern and spacious with eye level ovens and fully-equipped. Also has washing machine.

Shelly Beach is a fisherman's paradise with excellent shore and boat angling opportunities. The annual sardine run, during the winter months, brings large shoals of Sardine close to the shore. Shad, game fish, dolphins and shark join in the feeding frenzy, bringing life to the oceans. Daily angling, diving and pleasure trip charters depart from the angling club 5 minutes’ drive.

The world renowned Protea Banks reef is situated offshore from Shelley Beach. Protea Banks is rated as one of South Africa's top ten diving destinations. It is a must for shark lovers and boasts large shoals of Hammerhead as well as Bull Shark, Bronze Whalers, Raggedtooth and the odd Tiger Shark.
