The house is private and has its own fenced-in garden, as well as an outdoor braai and a Jacuzzi. The first cottage comprises 1 en-suite bedroom, and the second cottage comprises 2 bedrooms. Each cottage has an open-plan kitchenette, lounge and dining room, with a fireplace in the lounge, ideal for those cold winter evenings. Each cottage is private and has its own fenced-in garden and outdoor braai area. The cottages and the main house are each equipped with a TV, and guests are required to bring their own DStv decoder and smart card for DStv access. Linen is provided, and guests are required to bring their own towels. Thekwanes Nest is conveniently situated within close proximity to Drakensberg Gardens Resort; guests have free access to the resort during their stay. Drakensberg Gardens is approximately 2 km from the front gate. Garden Castle, which is part of the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park, is approximately 4 km away, and offers walks and hikes into the mountains. Guests are required to book in at the park’s office. The area offers rivers for swimming, tubing and trout fishing, and other activities include horse riding. Guests can visit the cheese factory, or take a guided trip up Sani Pass with a 4x4 vehicle with a tour operator in Underberg. Guests are required to bring their passports for trips up Sani Pass.
