The Maritime Museum displays the life-size replica of Bartolomeu Dias's caravel which was the ship that sailed into Mossel Bay in 1488. Apart from the culture and history, the town is abundant in beach activities such as mussel collecting, shark cage diving, boat cruises and scuba diving.
