This country house is located in a peaceful valley just 1 km from the Silverdale exit of the northern motorway and only 25 minutes from Auckland. Silverdale, with its shops, bus station and other links to the public transport network, is approximately 3.2 km from the hotel, while the restaurants, bars and beach of Orewa are around 7.3 km away. The Snowplanet skiing complex is just a 5-minute drive away, as are the Action Raceway and Silverdale Memorial Park. Other nearby places of interest include Waiwera Thermal Spa (20 minutes by car), Goat Island Marine Reserve (50-minute drive) and the Honey Centre scenic route (half an hour's drive). Auckland International airport is approximately 51 km from the hotel.The hotel will cook a New Zealand-style barbecue for groups of 6-8 guests on its terrace in summer by prior arrangement. In winter guests can bring some friends for a weekend retreat and enjoy a French-style dinner in the intimate dining room. Guests can relax before and after by a roaring fire in the guest lounge with BYO wine. There are just 4 guest rooms in total and wireless Internet access and a car park are also provided.The rooms at the hotel are decorated in individual styles with great views over the gardens. All feature en suite bathrooms with shower/bathtub combinations, and include tea and coffee making facilities and broadband Internet access. A double or king-size bed, a hairdryer and a fridge also feature in all rooms as standard.Guests may enjoy a game of bocce.
