About Thatchwood Country Lodge

Thatch wood is a friendly guesthouse at the entrance of St. Francis Bay, a unique village of white walled, thatched roofed houses and beautiful marina, encircled by a nature reserve, the Kromme River and the Indian Ocean.

The relaxed atmosphere and personal service of the Dutch owners will ensure your stay will be a memorable one. Besides a full buffet and English breakfast served on the sunny veranda, a superb 3-course dinner can be enjoyed in the evening.

For golfers, Thatch wood is ideally situated on the St. Francis Bay Golf Course. With the 6th and 8th tee almost in our garden, you can tee off only 2 minutes away from your breakfast. Also non-golfers can enjoy the course: strolling down the fairways is just a scenic route to the unspoiled beaches where you can watch dolphins and whales.

Golf: For golfers, Thatchwood is ideally situated on the St. Francis Bay Golf Course. With the 6th and 8th tee almost in our garden, you can tee off only 2 minutes away from your breakfast.
