Tembe Lodge

Tembe Lodge is 20 km north of the Kosi Bay border, just south of Mamoli Bay. The lodge comprises of four en-suite family sleeper units. Each unit sleeps four and all beds have mosquito nets. The units are all connected on a raised walkway to a central dining, lounge and kitchen area, which has a huge boma and sea facing front deck. The lodge is situated 1 km from the sea in an indigenous forest. Birdlife is amazing and if you are quiet, you will catch a glimpse of duiker or a darting tree squirrel. The lodge is powered by a generator, there is hot and cold water and the whole lodge

The lodge is situated 1 km from the sea in an indigenous forest. Birdlife is amazing and if you are quiet, you will catch a glimpse of duiker or a darting tree squirrel. The lodge is powered by a generator, there is hot and cold water and the whole lodge is regularly sprayed to keep it free from any bugs. No linen or pillows are provided, so please bring your own.

There are a number of staff present to help in the kitchen, make beds, light your fires or stand guard at night. The kitchen has all the necessary crockery and cutlery, three deep freezers and a gas stove and oven. There are lazy chairs on the front deck and deck chairs around the boma fireplace.

The beach in front of the lodge is beautiful and at low tide the snorkelling and paddling is awesome. The beach has a number of pristine bays where you can enjoy all types of fishing, collecting seashells or simply soaking up the sun. Around the area are curio stalls, local bars, scuba dive operators and more.
