We arrived at Sweet Olive and without warning taken to another guest house. I was sharing with my son. This room had no door on the toilet or bathroom, effectively an open plan bathroom. No windows on the bathroom, toilet and an extractor fan that was intrusively loud, so anyone going to the toilet or bathroom at night would awaken the other person with the noise and light and any other human... We really enjoyed our stay at the Sweet Olive. The location was great (on a quiet residential street in Sea Point but within walking distance of the ocean). The staff was wonderful, the decor was wonderful, the room was wonderful and the breakfast was outstanding.

We were in Sweet Berry but we didn't know this until we checked in. Also we had thought breakfast was included (probably my mistake) A suggestion - tea amd coffee would be a good idea to have in the kitchen (could be incorporated in the bill somehow).

My fiance and I spent a week at the Sweet Olive Guest House. We fell in love with it! Its decor is so funky and truly original.
