Visitors can enjoy a hard day's hike followed by a hot shower and an ice cold drink before settling into a comfortable bed with the peace and quiet of the surrounding mountain wilderness.
Each unit is provided with its own crockery and cutlery.
The nature of our area allows for visitors of varying fitness to walk or hike along a route that suits their ability. Guests can also lead themselves along the marked trails and swim in the river at the 'Silent Woman'.
Visitors need only bring food, drinks and towels. All lighting is done by batteries which are charged by solar and wind generation to preserve the ambiance of this special site.
Water is heated by solar, with a gas water heater should the clouds block out the sun.
Activities in the area include expert guided hiking trails, self-guided hiking on marked trails, and outings to local attractions such as the Drakensberg Boys Choir, Cape vulture feeding sites, cultural and tribal tours to the Amazizi and Amangwane communities, Basotho Cultural Village, and the Voortrekker Pass and monument.
There is access to day and overnight horse riding trails, trout fishing, abseiling, trapeze, paintball, and golf overnight hiking onto the Drakensberg summit. There are 80km of marked single track Drakensberg mountain bike trails. A small access fee is required.
Access to the camp is by 4x4 or 2x4 with good clearance as the road is a 2km dirt track into the mountains.
