As you enter this self-catering holiday property in Simon's Town you are greeted by the most amazing views of False Bay, the Navy Harbour and Marina.
The top level consists of an open plan lounge dining room leading to a covered balcony at the front. There is a flatscreen TV with full DSTV package and record function, DVD and music center plus a telescope to watch the action in the harbour.

On this top level level a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar with dishwasher, waste disposal, cooker, microwave and fridge. There is washing machine, tumble drier, a larger fridge freezer and safe in the integral garage.
Here you will find coolbags, beach chairs, umbrella, everything your holiday may require.

Sugarbird comprises two double bedrooms downstairs, both en-suite, the bedrooms lead out onto the outside patio deck, very private and wind protected, garden and pool. There are additional dining facilities on this level plus loungers, barbecues and linked decking to pop along for a dip in the pool when it gets too hot. The pool has solar heating and bubble cover to raise the temperature.
Even on the windiest of days you may sunbathe here free of wind.

Both bathrooms are en-suite with modern walk in showers and fitted hairdryers.
The views from the bedrooms are spectacular, especially the main bedroom at night when you can see the necklace of lights across the bay. The main bedroom is also equipped with an air-conditioner.

The property is very secure with electric perimeter wiring , external sensor beams, all linked to ADT armed response.
In addition guests are covered by Cape Medical paramedic call out at no cost.
Sugarbird is a personal holiday home only occupied by the English owners for 8 weeks year and let for just December and January, hence it is in pristine condition.
Because it is not a traditional holiday rental it is equipped by the owners with all that you would require to live as a home, even a Sat Nav.
Where else can you swim with the penguins, 10 mins away and watch a submarine go to sea !!!

The apartment is within walking distance to the Village of Simon's Town and the beach. The walk back however is not for all as it’s uphill.
Given the extensive balconies and elevated garden the property is not suitable for children.

This is our recommendation of Sugarbird, our "little Gem" !
This is a very charming house, we enjoyed it SO much we are now booking for the 5th year !
The terraces face north so you are not bothered by the "South Easter" in which case you may dine outside, sunbathe or just watch the sun-birds feeding on the drip.
If it is too hot then a dip in the small pool.
Security is first class, armed guard response within 5 mins when we set it off accidentally!
We can recommend the place and the house totally.
