Muizenberg is a small, vintage village within a city and nestles in a triangle bound by the warmer Indian Ocean, the Table Mountain range and the Sandvlei lagoon. The apartment is on the upper floor of a house and has a large balcony with rooftop and mountain views and is perfect for eating al fresco.

An outdoor gas griller is great for cooking mouth-watering meat from the organic butcher a couple of doors away. Alternatively, there is a large supermarket four minutes walk away for all your needs. The third bedroom is up the second set of stairs to a rooftop loft and enjoys spectacular mountain views - you can clearly see the back of Table Mountain and Devils Peak.

From the apartment, it is only a four minutes stroll to the world-renowned Surfers Corner with a wide range of trendy, casual restaurants, coffee shops and bars plus several surfing schools for the more adventurous. Or you can just relax on the wide expanse of white sand awaiting sun lovers. Five minutes walk in the other direction is the lagoon with bird life in profusion, often including flamingoes. Or, if you are energetic, mountain walks are close by.

Muizenberg has been a popular beach and holiday destination for over a hundred years while it is only half an hour away from the iconic Waterfront precinct in the heart of Cape Town or the Winelands of Stellenbosch. The oldest wine farm in South Africa, Groot Constantia, is only 10 minutes drive away and a 40-minute stroll along St Jame's Walk, next to the ocean, brings you to the quaint fishing village of Kalk Bay.
