Stroom-af is a "farmhouse in town" with thick walls and wooden floors, offering rustic accommodation for six in 3 bedrooms in Wakkerstroom, Mpumalanga. The town is 30 kilometres east of Volksrust and three hours away from Johannesburg. Stroom-af was built 150 years ago as a "nagmaalshuisie" - now its expanded version allows families to relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with a big family table and includes a microwave and gas stove with oven. Two bathrooms with bath and shower options, provides convenience for all. If old world charm is the thing for you, then Stroomaf is the ideal romantic getaway. The core of the structure dates from the late 1800's with original wooden floors, doors and windows.
Stroomaf cleans all surfaces with antiseptic cleaning products. Staff are screened to ensure health. Stroomaf is not bookable for one full day after a party left - keeping at least 24 hours open between visiting parties.
