Stanley's Kopje Mikumi National Park

This is the only small, personalized camp in Mikumi and it is set on a rocky kopje on the Mkata flood plain. Each tent is a good distance from the next to ensure maximum privacy and all the tents have en-suite bathrooms with showers only and two twin beds each with mosquito nets. Extra beds can be added on request. Guests have a private veranda that overlooks the plains. Electricity is available until 22:00 and drinking water as well as tea and coffee is provided. Guests can make use of the complimentary laundry service.

Meals can be enjoyed in camp’s airy banda-style thatched dining room that offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding grasslands.

All game drives around the park, morning and night, are taken in open four-wheel drive vehicles. Options of walking safaris are available but guests have to enquire beforehand and should know that there is a risk involved. For those guests who just want to relax, a swimming pool is available and towels are provided.

Camp fires and warm hospitality create a relaxing bush atmosphere in which to experience the thrill of being close to the multitudes of wild animals in timeless Africa.
