Springfontein House is very conveniently situated on the outskirts of the little village and thus it is quiet and surrounded by fields. Throughout the house, there is an extensive collection of objet d’art, as well as South African and European paintings. The guesthouse has been completely renovated, and the garden has been subject to a comprehensive replanting programme. A swimming pool has been built, which guests find a welcome relief after a long and hot journey. In winter, guests can relax in the warm sitting room, or go for a brisk walk before enjoying a delicious dinner.

Through glass doors is a sunroom with slate floors, and an incarnadine dining room. Enjoy Georgian tables and silver candelabras. In the bedrooms, the curtains are silk, the towels soft and the comfortable beds have crisp linen, plump pillows and mohair throws. Outside, white walls dazzle brightly and creepers climb above the stoep. There is a brick patio and colourful flowerbeds, a pool and a series of fishponds. All rooms have an en suite bath or shower and a television. Dinner at R195 per person.
