Serian Nkorombo camp comprises just five comfortable tents with en-suite facilities, including long drop toilets and bucket showers. A communal mess tent contains a selection of day beds with cushions to make it an inviting spot in which to unwind with a drink in the evening. The camp's tents have an en-suite bathroom.
Picnic breakfasts, lunches, starlit dinners, and sundowners are served on site. Guests can dine at various spots around the camp, often around the campfire. Game drives, walking safaris, river fishing, day trips to Lake Victoria and hot air balloon safaris are available.
Our vehicles are specially customized to be a climbing frame, and a photographer’s extra tool. They are comfortable, able to handle the terrain, and cover the distance…. And were designed for sun, rain, wind, and above all, the feeling of having as little as possible separating you from what’s out there. Our guides and spotters are intimately familiar with these special places, so they know all its secrets and the ways the animals interact with it, from the subtle changes of the seasons to the stages of an animals' lifecycle to the flora that sustains it all – they are the key that can unlock it all for you.
At any point in time, there is a whole range of incredible and exciting things going on at any one of our camps. Whether you already have your dates booked and just want to check what the highlights will be, or you’re looking for when is best to visit a certain area.
August and the festive season tend to be popular times to come on safari – but if you can skirt around these busy periods, the magic is still very much happening… And the best part is that the plains are empty of people, and you have the wilderness to yourself. Have a look at our guide to picking the moment that will suit you best – and remember that the road less traveled will always make all the difference.
We can also do night drives in Serian’s Serengeti South, Serian, and Ngare Serian. Red-filter spotlights illuminate the nocturnal world without dazzling the wildlife, so you can watch the night come alive with no disturbance to the animals. Take a flask of soup and a blanket, and enjoy the wilderness by starlight
Laundry and car hire are rendered onsite at added charges. Airport pickup is also available upon request. Onsite parking is available and security guards watch the camp's perimeter. Serian's Nkorombo is situated within the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Narok County and proximity to the famous Mara River wildlife crossing spot.
