According to Colombian law, only those tourists who have a Permission to Stay and Permanence with stamps PIP-3, PIP-5, PIP-6 or PIP-10 or the Temporary visa valid TP-7, TP-11, or TP-12 are exempt from paying; Those who dont comply with this requirement must pay the tax directly at the hotel, therefore it is essential to present the Passport and the Immigration Certificate at the time of check-in.

Parents travelling to Colombia with children under 18 must show the childs birth certificate or passport, in the case of international travelers, with a photo at check-in time.
