About SaltyCrax Backpackers Surf Lodge

SaltyCrax Backpackers is located 500m from the beautiful beaches of Blouberg, the perfect place to see picturesque views of Table Mountain. We are a 20 minute drive/40 minute bus ride from Cape Town Centre and are able to organise a variety of tours in and around the Western Cape. We are walking distance to major shopping centers, transport terminals, beach, restaurants and bars.

Facilities included are a fully furnished house and kitchen, bedding, Jacuzzi, entertainment area, television and a laundry service that operates daily. We also offer a shuttle service from the Airport.

We have budget dorm accommodation, as well as private rooms which could have shared facilities or a private en - suite bathroom.

Activities that our guests have at their fingertips are: Cape Point Tours, Wine Tours, Shark Cage Diving, Skydiving, Safaris of the big 5, Surfing, Kite Surfing, or just relaxing on the beach getting a tan...

There are so many things one can do around the area in the daytime and the nighttime, with beachfront just 5 minutes away.

★★★★★ We actually rented the entire backpackers,accommodation was great but we had strangers hanging out at the accommodation,not nice to wake up to strangers sitting on the couches when you rent the entire place. Apparently there is accommodation next door,would of been nice if we were told about this.

The place itself is clean and well equipped, with a lapa designed for people to relax and mingle in the evenings over a couple of beers or ciders. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I will definitely go back!
