River Bend is home to abundance of wildlife including elephant, lion, buffalo, and antelope and over 300 bird species. Linked by a meandering pathway through the lush gardens, each of the luxury suites offers a distinctly individual, tranquil and private retreat. The spacious suites open up onto private patios from where guests can soak up the scents and sounds of the bushveld. The lavish Honeymoon Suite leads out onto a secluded patio and plunge pool where romantic candle-lit dinners can be served.

All suites are air-conditioned, equipped with ceiling fans, electronic safes, and a mini bar, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, hairdryer and en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower. Suites with inter-leading doors are available for families.

The cuisine at River Bend is described as classic French with a modern contemporary twist. Matched with the finest wines from around the country, a meal at River Bend is a superb gastronomic experience. From tempting breakfasts through to late-night nibbles, each individually plated dish, created from the finest locally grown ingredients, is presented to guests in the spirit of warm hospitality.

Activities are tailored to suit guest’s interests and restful schedule; they include personalized game drives, wine tasting, walking with giraffes, guided walks, tracking courses, birding, bush picnics, mountain hikes and pampering treatments. For the kids there is a mini-rangers programme, baking with the chef, a selection of DVDs, spa treatments and mobile playrooms for the little ones.
