Rare Earth is a contemporary cottage designed by local architect, Michael Kornmuller who specializes in modern architecture with clean lines and quality finishes. It’s private yet central to the best amenities that the quaint village of Hout Bay has to offer. It’s close to the famous Chapmans Peak drive, the fishing harbour, weekend market, restaurants, sandy beaches and wine estates. If that doesn’t excite you, then tuck into a great book on the deck, look out at the mountain and watch the sun rise and set over the picture perfect Hout Bay.

After sun set, snuggle up in front of the fire on a leather couch. Hout Bay is just 20km out of central Cape Town, Table Mountain and the famous V&A Waterfront. Rare Earth is located in Bokkemanskloof, a security estate in Hout Bay. The owners live on the property and will make you comfortable, help you plan your stay and share Hout Bay’s best kept secrets.
