Pyrgos of Mytilene was built in the Sourada area in the centre of Mytilene in 1916 by the architect Ignatios Vafiades, in Second - Empire style. In 1985 it was carefully renovated devoting great attention to its historical details and has operated as a luxury hotel since 1999.The entire building presents a romantic atmosphere which takes one back in timeto the nostalgic 19th century. The friendly environment and efficient service, provided by the trained personnel, create a pleasant atmosphere which combines romantic memories of a past life with the demand and comforts of todays world.
