Pole Pole is located in the Chole Bay area, near Utende village on the southeast coast of the Mafia Island Marine Park. It lies on the beach, within a tropical garden, overlooking a spectacular view of the Mafia Archipelago and the Indian Ocean. Important Information
Unfortunately we do not accept children below the age of 10.
Family bungalow policy: maximum of 2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults
New Year’s Eve policy: supplement of 50 USD on the 31st December (including special dinner and free drinks) and
minimum 5 nights.
The prices include:
♦ 3 meals and early morning tea
♦ Transfers to and from Mafia airport
♦ One daily boat excursion in Chole Bay* (see Terms and Conditions)
♦ Tea, coffee and bottled water
♦ Laundry (2 items per person per day)
The prices do not include:
♦ Marine Park fees to be paid cash upon your arrival at the Park’s entrance gate
Adults: $20 + 18% VAT per person per day
Children aged 10-16: $10 + 18% VAT per person per day
♦ Drinks (excluding tea, coffee and bottled water) and extras
Use of Cellular Phones
Please note that the use of cellular phones is not permitted in the restaurant, bar, beach, public areas and on boats
and cars. Guests are welcome to use their phones in silent mode in their rooms.
Pole Pole will be closed from 1st April to 31st May

* The daily boat excursion can comprise any one of the following, depending on tides, weather, and availability: Snorkelling
(incl. snorkel equipment); Chole Island (excl. $5 village levy); Kua Ruins; Marimbani Sandbank; Sunset Cruise.
Swimming Pool
Please note that as our swimming pool is unsupervised, guests are advised to use extreme caution when using the pool
facilities, and do so at their own risk. Persons under the age of 14 years are permitted to use the swimming pool and facilities only when accompanied by an adult who shall be responsible for that person's safety and conduct at all times.
Travel insurance:
It is compulsory for clients to have travel insurance covering cancellation fees, personal accidents, medical assistance,
evacuation and repatriation costs.
Payment
Reservations are considered confirmed only upon full payment of the net amount plus bank charges 45 days before clients'
arrival (90 days prior for bookings in high season)
Marine Park Fees:
Park fees are subject to change at short notice by decision of Government/Park Authority. As such, Pole Pole can accept no responsibility for this eventuality.
Variations:
Pole Pole reserves the right to change prices in case of +/- 5% fluctuations in USD/EUR exchange rate.
