The open-plan lounge and dining room lead directly out to an extensive, wind-protected, and peaceful garden filled with indigenous trees, flowers and birds; and an enclosed tree house. The lounge overlooks a large, crystal-clear, saltwater swimming pool, next to which are recliners and a large sun umbrella.
Dine at a table in a newly-developed outdoor entertainment area alongside the pool, eating a delicious meal cooked on a gas barbecue or open fire; or cook indoors in the fully-equipped kitchen. Outside is a small herb garden with rosemary and thyme that you are welcome to utilize for your cooking. The dishwasher means less time washing up, and more time relaxing!
Other facilities include a 55” flat-screen LCD TV (with cable TV, known locally as DSTV), wi-fi internet access (please bring your own device); a closed slow-combustion fireplace; and washing-machine. All bedding and towels are also supplied.
In the courtyard is a fenced play space with a 3 metre (diameter) trampoline; perfect for children and adults alike. The garden also has a large lawn area for playing on, many little hidden corners for inquisitive children to explore, and a delightful wooden tree house (accessed via a little door and then internal steps up the tree). Please do note that the swimming pool is unfenced - however, there is a pool net that can be fitted if any of your party is unable to swim (please notify us before your arrival if you wish us to install this).
Plenty of gated off-street parking is available. The property has electric fencing and a comprehensive alarm system to keep you secure.
Last but not least is the presence of Budd, the resident sweet-natured and talkative tabby cat. All he needs is some love, and pellets twice a day. If you are not happy to have Budd around, please would you look elsewhere for your stay!
A minimum stay of seven (7) nights is required; ten (10) nights if your stay is over Christmas and/or New Year.
Activities and attractions that are available within a 5-minute drive of the house are: shops, restaurants, aerobics and gym, Hout Bay beach, Chapman’s Peak Drive, sailing, horse-riding, sea kayaking, bird-watching, cycling, whale watching (in season), surfing, fishing, walking. Within 15 minutes you will be able reach the dazzling Llandudno and/or Camps Bay beaches and the Constantia wine farms
