Only an hours drive from Port Elizabeth, and less than two hours from Addo Elephant Park, Shamwari Game Reserve and Tsitsikamma Forest, guests are spoilt for choice. Game reserve trips can be arranged on request, as well as golfing excursions to the Links Golf Course, and the local 18-hole village course.

As a surfing destination, St Francis is one of the best in South Africa, and has a perfect break only 500 m from the lodge. Other activities include canoeing, tennis, squash, bowls, and nature walks. Heath and fitness facilities are within three km of the lodge. There are six restaurants to choose from within the village, as well as supermarkets, laundromats, medical facilities, and hairdressers.
