This is a self-catering accommodation for travellers who prefer to spend less on accommodation and more on themselves and sightseeing and enjoyment elsewhere. The house is only available in December and January only, as it accommodates UKZN Howard Campus during the year. Clean, fresh bed linen, crockery and toiletries are provided for that home away from home feeling.

The commune offers eight single rooms each featuring a desk, a single bed and a wardrobe. Five of these rooms share a bathroom with a shower and toilet while the other three rooms share a bathroom with a shower and toilet. There are also two double rooms; the Pool Room contains one double bed and the D Room can fit two double beds. These rooms share the same shower as the three single rooms.
