Molema Bush Camp
About Molema Bush Camp
Molema Bush Camp is situated on the banks of the Limpopo River in the Tuli Block, about 30 km downstream from Platjan Border in the eastern-most corner of Botswana. Molema is located on privately-owned land immediately to the west of the Northern Tuli Game Reserve, in an area soon to be incorporated into the Greater Mapungubwe Transfrontier Conservation Area, and is very easily accessed from South Africa. Tuli Wilderness’ private and exclusive 24,000-acre unfenced concession of Botswana wilderness makes an ideal getaway or stopover point for travellers between Botswana and South Africa.

Important Information
Please note that the Limpopo River crossing at Platjan is on a 3 m wide causeway. If the Limpopo River is flowing over the bridge, it cannot be crossed and the alternative then (if coming from South Africa) is to drive down to Martin’s Drift which is approximately three hour’s drive from Molema.
There is a charge of around P 130.00 per vehicle for entry into Botswana – please ensure that you have all of the necessary vehicle papers and permission letters to take your vehicle across the border. SA Rands can also be used for payment.
Please contact the border or Tuli Wilderness prior to travel so that we can advise the best route available at the time should the Limpopo or Motloutse Rivers be flowing.
Please note that Molema Bush Camp is unfenced and there is no electricity. Lighting is provided by paraffin lanterns and hot shower water is created by gas and solar geysers. Firewood can be purchased from the office, with all proceeds going to the community. Self-Driving is not permitted within the entire Northern Tuli Game Reserve. Game drives and bush walks can be booked as extras on arrival.
