Mhangela Lodge Balule

Mhangela Lodge is situated in the Balule Private Nature Reserve/ Grietjie Gate and part of the open system of the Greater Kruger National Park. The lodge offers three luxury suites for guests wanting to experience the African Lowveld bush and the Greater Kruger National Park as well as the beautiful landscapes of the Limpopo province in South Africa. Mhangela offers two game drives daily in the BIG 5 reserve with some 6,000 hectares to cover. The kitchen is international and exquisite and offers as well vegetarian and vegan options beside the fish and meat specialties.

The kitchen is international and exquisite and offers as well vegetarian and vegan options beside the fish and meat specialties. All suites are individually decorated and open to the big wild bush garden overlooking the game reserve.

The suites have luxurious beds covered with 300 TC cotton bed linen and down duvet and pillow inners (microfibre on requirement), we offer organic bathroom amenities and the beds are protected by beautiful mosquito nets.

The lodge itself has been carefully renovated considering ecology and conservation. The furniture and artwork has been collected by the owners during extensive travelling experiences in Africa and Europe. The lodge has a comfortable and earthy feel and offers a luxurious and relaxing atmosphere.

You can select between an inclusive package including all meals, house wines and soft drinks as well as two game drives with an experienced field guide on the open game viewer or you select a B & B option and add your meals or game drives/ bush walks individually.

We offer as well airport return transport from Hoedspruit (65 km) or Phalaborwa (40 km).
