Aloe Cottage is situated in the historic quaint country village of McGregor and set in a very pretty fully enclosed and secure garden shaded by mature trees.This romantic traditional cottage with cob walls, reed ceiling and thatch roof and originating from 1861, is perfect for your relaxed weekend getaway or romantic Honeymoon!

Step back in time to a more gently age and slower pace of life in our beautiful, romantic Aloe Cottage. Spend cozy winter nights in front of the fireplace sipping red wine or romantic summer evenings in the shade of the vine covered stoep.

This tastefully decorated and sensitively restored thatch cottage has a charming lounge with a fireplace, and is furnished with a 2 seater bankie couch and an intimate dining table and a cute open plan kitchenette. There is a luxurious double bed, a small built-in vanity unit and a shower. The kitchenette is fully equipped for self-catering and has a small fridge, a stove with oven, microwave, kettle and toaster.

Aloe has a private, shady vine covered stoep with a 2-seater patio set and a large built-in braai, set in a pretty garden with beautiful mountain views. There is secure off-street parking under a covered carport and the cottage comes with an alarm and other security features.

The 19th century village of McGregor is home to artists, craftsmen, and colorful characters. The town hosts various restaurants and coffee shops for a delicious meal with wine-tasting opportunities in McGregor or on the close-by Route 62.

The McGregor area also offers good walking and hiking options with the Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve only a 5 km drive away from Aloe Cottage.
