You can walk to the botanical garden and to the Bunga forest and enjoy this very special little biosphere. It is an ideal place for golfers, birders, hikers, mountain bike riders, motorcyclists and for those who want to observe the beautiful samango monkeys.

Matere Cottage is nestled in a large garden and equipped with two bedrooms, one bathroom with bath and shower, equipped kitchen, lounge with a fireplace and dining room. Bed linen and towels are supplied. There is a washing machine that can be used by the caretaker. The caretaker will work for a few hours a day to keep the house tidy. He also knows all the technical details about the house.

You can use the small television, but you will have to bring your own decoder and DStv card. In case of power cuts, the 2.5 KVA generator will power the fridge, TV and decoder and the lights. Petrol consumption will have to be paid for the going rate. The generator consumes 1.5 litres per hour but it does not pull the geyser.
