Photographers are always looking for the perfect place for the ultimate shot, without compromise.Therefore the new Mara Legends Camp was planned and built by a passionate photographer and specialist in organizing photo and film productions. Every wildlife lover will confirm that this Camp is a dream just in the heart of nature.
The Masai Mara is a 12-month destination and has the highest density of cats. The highlight is the time of the world famous wildebeest and Zebra migration which can pass here between July and November. But The Masai Mara is a pure Safari destination all year around. Cheetahs, Leopards, and Lions are usually seen every single day. Elephant and heard of Buffalos, Topi, Elen, and other Antelopes are grazing in the plains. But also rare animals like the Serval cat or bat Ear Foxes might be seen.7
Specially trained kitchen staff cooks daily fresh and balanced meals from local products Breakfast is served as per clients wish “English” and „Continental“ buffet. We surf also vegetarian and vegan dishes. There is a bar with various types of beers and wines as well as a selection of spirits and non-alcoholic drinks.The comfortable Restaurant and Bar is the meeting place to enjoy excellent meals and chilled drinks. Our cozy sitting area offers space for a relaxed time to read a book or chat with other travelers about the adventures of the day.
The Mara Legends Camp consists of single tents, a big mess tent with bar facilities, dining, and cozy sitting areas. Right in front of the mess tent, you can enjoy the bonfire in the evening to talk about the adventures of your day. Each tent has 1 double bed, a writing desk with a lamp, a sitting area, a shelf and a bathroom with a hot shower powered by solar energy, sink, and toilet. In front of the tent, there are chairs and a small tablesit outside to enjoy the sounds of nature.Double tents areequipped with two double beds and one bathroom. The furniture corresponds to single tents. Solar energy and solar water heating are available. Also towels and bed linen.
Shower water is returned immediately to nature while dishwater and blackwater pass a treatment by a biofilter first. Electricity is generated from solar energy. The garbage is separated and sent to Nairobi for recycling. Organic waste is transported to Talek for compost. Plastic bags are forbidden in Kenya.

Getting closer to the big five in your favorite 4×4 is the highlight of every safari. After breakfast, you set off into the wild with your guide driving past the Buffaloes, rhinos, zebras and the gazelles munching on the dew-spiced grass, or the leopards and the lions enjoying leftovers from last night’s hunt in the grassland. The afternoon session is the highlight of your game drive. You get to meet the animals you missed during the morning hours.
Our driver guides speak perfect English and are among the most experienced drivers in Kenya. Hardly any movement in the thicket escapes the eyes of these professionals. They know how to put the cars in the right light position and understand the wishes of the photographers. Our staff at the camp are friendly and well-trained and always ready to assist the guests whenever needed. The majority of the staff are from the Masai community but also from other parts of Kenya.
