Luiperdskloof proves to be a unique ecological environment, teeming with wildlife. It is situated on the perennial Wilge River, which feeds the Loskop Dam and meanders along 6 km of riverfront, opening into large tranquil pools and fast flowing rapids along majestic cliff faces. The park is fully fenced with 2.4 m game fencing. The landscape varies from large grassy plains, hills, rock formations and cliff faces with beautiful scenery.

The following game species can be seen in the park; aardwolf, aardvark, baboon, brown hyena, caracul, jackal, grey duiker, impala, klipspringer, mountain reedbuck, steenbuck, vervet monkey, warthog, kudu, blesbuck, blue wildebeest, waterbuck, eland, red hartebeest, springbuck and zebra.
