About Little Garonga

Little Garonga is an intimate, exclusive extension of Garonga Safari Camp, located in the 22 000-hectare Makalali Conservancy in Limpopo, just west of the Kruger National Park. This luxury and private lodge boasts three individual thatched suites and is ideally placed in a Big 5 reserve with magnificent views of the surrounding bush landscape.

An unassuming and intimate sanctuary offering guests the opportunity for a unique wildlife encounter and to relax in an serene safari landscape.

The lodge echoes the surroundings of the bush's textured earthy colours by incorporating simplistic lines into every fine detail with only pure high-quality linen to ensure an indulgent and enticing stay.

The lodge is ideal for small groups or families to absorb the smaller niceties of the nearby animal and bush landscape.

The lodge features three well-appointed thatched suites, each with expansive full en-suite bathrooms including an indoor and outdoor shower as well as a private deck with an inviting hammock to relish in the surrounding beauty. The camp is north-facing which allows sunlight to stream in, and its prime location affords magnificent views over the reserve.

All suites are situated around a centralised indoor and outdoor lounge area, a swimming pool and a built in braai/BBQ area. The lodge also has its own host, chef, waiter and housekeeper so is totally self-contained and run separately from the Safari Camp.

Activities include game drives, wilderness walks, a unique sleep-out experience under the African sky, outdoor bush-baths as well as aromatherapy and reflexology sessions. Garonga guests are encouraged to indulge in activities that will allow them to walk close to the animals, and thereby enhance their wildlife experience.

Rates are inclusive of all meals, selected local beverages, game drives, bush walks, sleep out experience, bush bath and laundry. Rates are excluding the mandatory conservancy levy.

Safari: Garonga offers a true Big Five safari experience, with expert guides and trackers who are knowledgeable about the wide variety of animals in our nature reserve.

Spa: Our resident therapist is available full-time, offering a range of relaxing massages and therapies from the beautiful "Sala" set overlooking the riverbed.
