The camp consists of five spacious tents, two doubles, one which can also be used as a family tent with a bunk bed, and three twins each with en-suite, flushing toilet and a safari shower. Each tent is thoughtfully positioned to ensure a breathtaking view of the Galana River.

Kulalu Camp is environmentally friendly, being powered by solar panels. The dining and lounge area is a semi-permanent makuti palm-thatch building. This provides a safe and comfortable place to quietly watch the game and bird activity along the river bank or to spend the hot afternoons with a cool drink and a book. The river location provides brilliant opportunities to be sitting relaxing on your veranda while watching the wildlife come and drink from the river in the morning and late afternoon.

Food at Kulalu is absolutely delicious and Justus will be your chef while you stay with us, transforming the mess into a haven of culinary delight. Justus is an experienced bush chef who provides country house cooking using fresh produce that is bought in from Malindi. All the more incredible considering it is prepared in a traditionally styled mobile camp kitchen and food is prepared using a safari oven, a large metal box covered in a large pile of glowing embers. Feast on full English breakfast’s, light lunches and three course dinners as you look out over the Galana River.
