The thatched roofed facilities located on the rocky outcrop has a spacious open sided area with large and comfortable hand-crafted bed rests under protective mosquito net, a relaxing hammock and a little desk_ for those that prefer to study during their stay_ overlooking the vistas below. The wash closets are clean and ecologically designed though without running water or electricity: compositing toilet open to the hillside known as ‘loo-with-a-view’ and heated shower water in the bathroom surrounded by trees, bush and the inevitable collection of birds and monkeys.

The bed and breakfast premise has an onsite eatery sourcing its ingredients from the local farmers offering garden fresh and sumptuous delicacies served as an a la carte menu at the camp or a picnic lunch while on an activity as well as a three-course dinner under the star warmed by a bonfire. Kisampa Bush Retreat offers guests canoe safaris, guided nature walks, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, village tours and game viewing at the Saadani National Park at a fee. It offers an unrivaled safari experience with numerous activities and serene view of East Africa’s amazing topography.

Kisampa can also be reached by air, an easy thirty minute flight from Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar. Flights into Saadani National Park Airstrip with Coastal. When arriving by plane you will be greeted by a member of staff and driven to the camp. Transfer and Park fees will incur, and the camp has to be aware of the flight details as it is one hour away from the airstrip.

Meals are prepared with available fresh local ingredients. The set menu changes daily and with advance notice we cater for dietary requirements as best as we can. Each morning is a breakfast feast, served with Tanzanian coffee or tea in the Pavilion. The lunch can be served at the camp or a picnic lunch is provided while on an activity and a three course dinner is served under the stars, warmed by the nearby crackling fire (weather permitting) or in the Pavilion
