About Kambro Cottage

Your host, Greg, invites you to experience the history, nature and beauty of Graaff Reinet while staying at Kambro Cottage, his little refuge in the Karoo. Kambro Cottage is a single-storey, flat-roofed dwelling built in 1840; it is a National Monument and is an intrinsic part of the town’s history. Kambro Cottage is centrally located in the historical section of town, away from the hustle and bustle, yet within walking distance to shops, banks, restaurants, the museum complex and the famous Dutch Reformed 'Grootkerk' Church. We, as pensioners, travel quite extensively and always employ Kambro Cottage as the norm for comparison purpose... Read more

Everything is clean and tidy. The kitchen area is small but exceptionally well designed. Overall one of the cleanest and most practical establishments we ever visited.Mrs Meyer was most excited to see the little cat kingdom and enjoyed their presence.
