Kaaimans River Cottage is a unique self-catering cottage situated on the banks of the spectacular Kaaimans River in Kaaimans.With direct access to the beautiful and secluded Kaaimans Beach and Waterfall, various activities are literally on your doorstep, including river kloofing, SUP, canoeing, swimming, fishing from your patio or lazing around on the idyllic beach at the river mouth. Kaaimans beach visible from the cottage, very nearby (you can swim or canoe or paddle there from your cottage). Wilderness beach is 5 minute drive. Victoria Bay beach is 7 minute drive.
Allows children of all ages, however, note that this property is riverfront and there are stairs with no safety for small children so you need to take care of children at all times
Self-isolation house prepared according to FEDHASA guidelines. Staff trained on Covid preparedness i.e hand hygiene, social distancing, wearing masks. Clean and sanitize before and after each guest stays. Complimentary sanitizer for guest use.

Important Information
- This property is cleaned and sanitized before every guest arrival as per the correct cleaning protocols. Complimentary sanitizer is provided at the property for guests use, please bring additional with.
- A maximum of 8 people can be accommodated: 6 in the 3 bedrooms and 1 to 2 people on the sleeper couch.
- Linen and bath towels are provided. Guests please need to bring their own swimming towels and extra blankets for cool evenings, as well as their own torches and headlamps for extra lighting; paraffin and gas lamps and candles are not allowed.
- Guests will be met at the arranged pick-up point, and rowed over to Kaaimans River Cottage with their belongings.
- Please note, sections of the cottage are accessed via stairs, and may not be suitable for young children, the elderly, or guests with disabilities.
- There are no safety gates and the house is on the riverfront plus there are stairs, please take care of small children at all times.
- Guests need to bring their own leaded or unleaded petrol to run the generator (the only source of electricity) and firewood for the braai.
- Please supply own wood for indoor fireplace.
- No loud music or noise and no parties; please respect the tranquility of the river and neighbours.
- No smoking indoors, please discard of cigarettes in astray provided and not on the patio, gardens or down toilets.
- This house has septic tanks, only human waste and toilet paper down toilets and septic tank friendly cleaning materials to be used please.
- R 2000 as breakages deposit before check-in.
- R 200 in cash upon check-in for late check-in fee if arriving after 18h00.
- A cleaning surcharge will be charged should the tenants not leave the property in reasonable condition for occupation or if check-out happens later than the specified time.
- R 1000 as post-departure cleaning fee before check-in.
- Housekeeping is an optional extra, subject to availability upon request.
- Pets upon request, subject to owner confirmation. T&Cs apply.
- The balance of the booking, cleaning fee and breakage deposit is required before check-in.
- Canoes and rowing boat are provided for guests use. Access to the cottage via boat/canoe only. Parking is across the river at the Kaaimans parking area.
