The double-storey, thatched cottage boasts unrestricted views of Champagne Castle, Dragons Back, Cathkin Peak and Sterkhorn.The cottage sleeps six guests in three double rooms and has a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge with a TV. Several good restaurants are situated in the valley, as well as a number of interesting curio shops. There are also helicopter flights available in the area. An 18-hole golf course is situated at the Sports & Racket Hotel.

The world famous Drakensberg Boys Choir is a stone’s throw away; regular concerts are held on Wednesday evenings in the school auditorium during term.
