Hyena Hangout is an ideal bushveld getaway home, ideally located in the Marloth Park Conservancy. This comfortable and secure home is blissfully quiet, your only visitors being the free-roaming animals that call Marloth Park their home.

Marloth Park is a wildlife conservancy, protecting all the non-threatening wild game, which roam freely amongst the dwellings. You will be constantly delighted by visits from zebra, giraffe, bushbuck and kudu; not forgetting the tortoise, monitor lizard or the energetic ‘nag-apies’ or galagos. The two cottages at Hyena Hangout can accommodate up to eight guests each and each unit comprises two bedrooms, an upstairs loft room, and a kitchen and lounge area.

The air-conditioned main bedroom contains a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. The second bedroom also has a double bed or 3/4 bed en-suite with a shower. The large open-plan upstairs loft room features a double bed and twin single beds. Linen and bedding is supplied. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a gas stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The comfortable downstairs lounge, leads out onto a patio and braai area.

There is a large splash pool for those hot summer afternoons. Evenings are best spent around the campfire, watching the sparks fly into the dusk, with a million stars to decorate the night sky. Cool off with a cocktail in the splash pool, or unwind with a book on the secure deck. There is nothing to beat the tranquillity of the African bush, a place to refresh your soul and restore your love of life.

The impala, blue wildebeest, nyala and warthog wander freely while the Big 5 are restricted to the Kruger National Park. The house is within a short walk of the Crocodile River, which is the border of the Kruger National Park. Spend the early evening with sundowners alongside the river, enjoying the prospect of seeing the elephants bathing in the river or a lion kill. Buffalo, rhino, waterbuck, crocodile and hippo are also a common sight, together will a myriad of water birds and the amazing fish eagle. Perfectly situated 20 km from Kruger National Park and a short drive to the Swaziland and Mozambique borders.
