Welcome to Horseshoe Game Reserve.This Game Reserve is an eco-friendly, self-catering lodge situated 20 km from East London in the Eastern Cape. There is fully equipped self-catering cabin that is private, with braai area and covered deck .We run of a wind turbine so load shedding will not be a problem. Therefore no hairdryers are allowed. Braai wood is available.There are also 3 basic self-catering tents available with a kitchenette. Linen is optional . Please note that there are lights at the tents but only one 12 V socket for charging in the kitchen running o

Welcome to Horseshoe Game Reserve.

This Game Reserve is an eco-friendly, self-catering lodge situated 20 km from East London in the Eastern Cape. There is fully equipped self-catering cabin that is private, with braai area and covered deck .We run of a wind turbine so load shedding will not be a problem. Therefore no hairdryers are allowed. Braai wood is available.

There are also 3 basic self-catering tents available with a kitchenette. Linen is optional . Please note that there are lights at the tents but only one 12 V socket for charging in the kitchen running of solar. In the tent camp are a camping fridge/freezer, two plate gas stove, basin for dishes as well as the basic utensils. Please bring your own towels if you do not want to book linen additionally. There is a bathroom cubicle with gas shower and a flush toilet in the tent camp. Cars can be parked about 20m form the tents.

Attractions in the area include bird watching, game viewing, cycling, mountain biking, game drives and unguided walks. Please note that water is brackish should you prefer to bring your own.

Preferably you should have a high clearance vehicle . Smaller cars can aleternatively be parked at the foreman's house and he will transfer you to the cabin or tent camp.
