Situated in the heart of the Sundays River Valley, close to Port Elizabeth and a stones throw from the world famous Addo Elephant National Park you’ll find a haven of comfort and luxury.

Offering superior service with unashamed flair, Hopefield Country House & Guest Farm is the ideal spot for a quiet weekend away, family holiday or as your home base when you explore the natural beauty of the Eastern Cape.

Slightly elevated above the green orchards of the farm, Hopefield Country House offers unobtrusive views of the natural beauty of the Sundays River Valley. The magnificent lawns with blue swimming pool are flanked by colourful flowerbeds frequented by various species of birds. The homestead offers spacious areas in which to relax whilst listening to the sounds of everyday country living or maybe even a favourite classical music piece on CD from our vast collection.

For those guests lucky enough to be staying over at the time of one of our frequent classical music soirées Hopefield Country House offers an opportunity to hear beautiful music performed in a magical setting by some of the best local and nationally acclaimed artists.

★★★★★ Recently spent 3 wonderful days at Hopefield Country House. Lovely setting, very comfortable and well decorated room with balcony overlooking stunning views. The receptionist who also serves breakfast, is one of the nicest, most professional and helpful people I have ever met. It is also very close the The Addo National Park. Will stay there again.

★★★★★ We stayed for two nights in a generously sized room, tastefully decorated and air-conditioned. The linen was superb (down duvet if I'm not mistaken) and the bed was very comfortable. But the best part by far was the superior service and the wonderful food. A really highly recommended place to unwind where you are treated like guests, not clients.
