Highland View is a cosy, self-catering, double-storey cottage overlooking the Maluti Mountains near Golden Gate in the village of Clarens. The upper level of the house offers three comfortable bedrooms on a dark wooden floor. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with underfloor heating, and a private balcony. On the lower level of the house, the lounge, dining area and kitchen are all open plan. A Jetmaster fireplace adds to the atmosphere of this welcoming area. The lounge has a TV and DVD player with full DStv. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a combination fridge-freezer, a microwave oven, as well as a glass-top hob and oven. A second bathroom, with bath, shower and toilet is situated downstairs. All floors, including the lounge, bathroom and kitchen, are tiled and have underfloor heating.

A unique feature of the house is that all the east- and north-facing doors fold back to combine the generous patio space with the interior of the house. A thatched boma is great to sit under and view the mountains. A Weber or built-in braai is also and under cover parking is provided for two vehicles.

The Clarens town square, surrounded by its galleries and top quality restaurants, is literally a minute's stroll away. The cottage is situated conveniently enough to be close to town without having to use one's car, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquility Clarens has to offer.
