The lodge is only available to groups of 10 people or more. There is a meandering wooden boardwalk that takes you through the three-hundred year-old stone kraal ruins, around which the lodge was built.

Heysbrook is made up of a centrally positioned lodge, comprising of the living areas. There is a bar, a dining room, a lounge, indoor and outdoor verandas, as well as wooden decks that flow from one area to another. The adjacent kitchen is an integral part of the lodge, providing a homely atmosphere. There is DStv in the bar and in the conference room.

There are amazing guided hikes to historical landmarks on the farm, including an old goldmine dating back to 1924. There are approximately 200 m of tunnels dug horizontally into the side of the mountain. There is also a stunning hike up to the biggest Kiepersol in the area and many more.
