About Glenrock Game & Trout

The farm Glenrock is mainly run as a beef enterprise. The farm is situated in the hills above Rietvlei, between Mooi River and Greytown.

There are seven fully equipped, self-catering units that are serviced every morning (Excluding Sundays and Public Holidays. The farm is well known for its peaceful environment and is ideal for family getaways. Catch bass or trout in one of our dams, take a leisurely walk or bring your mountain bike along.

There are lots of game and birds on the farm to view by car, bicycle or on foot. We have eland, blesbuck, mountain reedbuck, duiker, oribi, zebra, serval cats and otters. Bird species include the secretary bird, wattled-, crested- and blue cranes, various raptors, Stanley's bastard, storks in summer, quinea fowl, francolins and various kinds of ducks. There are a few tame animals on the farm that you can feed.

The lapa is used as a dining room as well as conference centre and can seat up to 100 people. It is ideal for small functions like weddings, birthday parties and family reunions.

Family friendly: We have an animal farm, a jungle gym, as well as a zip-line and kayaking. We also offer fishing and hiking trails. ( This must be booked in advance)

★★★★★ Amazing stay! The place is so peaceful and quiet and you just get sucked in and enjoy every moment. The animals are so cute and friendly and love to be fed. The fishing was also amazing catching a bass almost every cast. The units are perfectly sized and clean and have all the necessary items needed for self catering. Will definitely be back again.

★★★★★ It's was a wonderful weekend without any phones (no signal) just the nature around us. Love that the units are far apart and that you have the space all to yourself. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Loved every moment. Everything was neat and clean and had all we needed. Was only 2 hours from home so was a quick easy drive Thank you so much.
