Friendly welcome, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, pool, garden feel, good security, and responsive staff. All in all a great choice for a homely upmarket central stay in Johannesburg plus very close to the good vibes of the Melville shops and restaurants! Added bonus, not far to Wits University.

We returned to Ginnegaap after a stay there in 2013. The breakfasts were great and that was one of the main motivators for returning. We were not disappointed!In addition, the location is great. Close - and safe (also at night) - enough to walk to where you need to go in Melville, even for children ages 3 and 5. But away from too much hustle and bustle.
