Eighty meters from the Crocodile River lies a little gem of a private guest house. Genet House is situated on the southern border of South Africa’s most prestigious game reserve, the Kruger National Park.The reserve is home to the Big Five as well as cheetah, wild dog and hundreds of other species of animals, birds and plants indigenous to the area.Each beautifully decorated bedroom provides sophistication and romance, each with its own spacious bathroom and free standing shower. Important Information
Check-In/Check-Out:
Check-In earliest 14:00.
Check-Out latest 10:00.
Keys provided at Genet House Holiday Home.
ID/Passport and the credit card used for booking must be present at check-in for registration.
The R2,000.00 cash damage deposit is required at check-in and will be returned by EFT up to seven days after check-out.
Travelling:
Leave early, especially on Fridays, as it's a long journey to Genet House Holiday Home - 421 Locust Avenue, Marloth Park, Mpumalanga, 1321.
Night Life Policy:
No loud parties, loud music or fireworks.
Guests are responsible for any fines incurred. (R3,500.00)
Air-Conditioners:
Switch off when a room is not being used.
Set to 23 degrees for efficiency.
Adherence to these practices helps prevent power outages.
Thatched Roof:
Traditional thatched roofs are at risk of catching fire.
Be cautious when preparing and or extinguishing BBQs and campfires.
Chimney Braai/BBQ:
Only charcoal (natural/briquettes) can be used.
The campfire/boma area is for wood fires.
Baboons & Monkeys:
Keep windows always closed.
Use the provided catapult to deter them.
Security Cameras:
Cameras are in common areas.
Tampering with cameras will result in termination of stay.
Smoking Policy:
No smoking inside.
Smoking is allowed outside.
Use provided sand buckets.
Water:
Bring bottled water for drinking and the ice machine.
The kitchen freezer has space for purchased bags of ice.
Additional Amenities:
Swimming towels are provided.
Unlimited WiFi.
