About Fields of Gold Cottages

Fields of Gold Farm is a newly established olive and lavender farm situated in the Paarl/Franschhoek valley surrounded by world-famous wine and golf courses. We are conveniently situated 10 km from both of the historic towns of Paarl and Franschhoek, 1 km from Pearl Valley /Val de Vie Golf and Polo estate.

Simunye Cottage offers an affordable and comfortable home away from home experience. It is a large one-bedroom cottage, with a wrap-around patio overlooking a magnificent rock pool and stunning views of the Simonsberg and Groot Drakenstein mountains.

The air-conditioned bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed with crisp white percale bed linen, while the luxurious en-suite bathroom boasts spectacular views of the Mountains. The bathroom has double basin and double shower, and bath towels are provided.

Sandi Ferreira, the owner of Fields of Gold Farm, looks forward to welcoming you, whether you are looking for a short weekend stay whilst you play a little golf or go wine-tasting or are looking for a longer holiday while you explore all that Cape Town and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Golf: Our farm is perfectly situated for golfers as we are a mere 1 km from Pearl Valley /Val de Vie golf and polo estate, and 6 km from Boschenmeer golf estate on the R301, Wemmershoek Road, Paarl.

Romantic: 0ur cottage is the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend away. Private room with patio overlooking the mountains and pool.

Covid Safety Approved: Our cleaners are screened and properly trained to wear masks, wash and disinfect hands on entering cottage. Hand sanitizers are available for guests. All guests must arrive wearing masks.

★★★★★ Loved the swimming pool, the hammocks, the extremely comfortable bed, and Sandi - she's there but you don't know it. Rare skill. Didn't get a chance to use the braai outside, but I imagine it is wonderful.My car didn't really like the route there, but it is on a farm so bumpiness to be expected :)

★★★★★ Sandi was delightful and the cottage is well appointed and very comfortable. The cottage is not as private as the Safari website implies though. It is right next to the main house and the pool is 'also useable by cottage residents' rather than 'private'. Having said that we did enjoy our stay..
