The Mountain Chalet is a private chalet furnished with a king-size bed and a bath. The chalets are en-suite, with a shower. Tea and coffee facilities are also provided. The Country House is equipped with a fully functional kitchen and the living room is the perfect gathering place for spending time in front of the fireplace on cool winter evenings, while the porch is the perfect place to enjoy drinks while overlooking the surrounds. Each room in the Country house are en-suite, with a shower. The main accommodation area at Ellerbeck Country Lodge is fenced and is monitored by a night guard. Each guest is also issued with a remote control for the gate, ensuring guests' safety, and cell phone reception is good in the area for those who have to stay in touch with the outside world.The Lodge is nestled between the Korannaberg and the Maluti mountains and their typical brilliant display of gold and copper cliffs have made this area famous worldwide. Several walking trails from a lazy afternoon stroll to more adventurous walks. The area is known for its bird population and the species in the area include Cape vultures, Black eagles and Martial eagles. Photographers will also enjoy the area, with its vast sandstone mountains, big skies, rich biodiversity and spectacular sunsets, and the area is home to many indigenous plants.
