Situated in a Conservation Area & Green Belt, Eagle’s Rest cottage is humble, homely & unpretentious, overlooking the Gonubie River valley, with magnificent river valley views. This stand-alone 2-bedroomed self-catering thatched cottage is in a peaceful, tranquil, safe, treed setting, only a short stroll from the Gonubie River and a short drive to Gonubie’s beautiful beach.

Surrounded by indigenous trees and bush, the area has a wide variety of naturally occurring creatures & the most wonderful bird life... you can be assured of being woken by birdsong every morning – be it the fish eagles, Egyptian geese, crowned and trumpeter hornbills, kingfishers, shrikes or Knysna Loeries to name a few. Nature is everywhere in this environment... amongst them are the mischievious geckos that share the cottage with you.

The fully equipped cottage has two bedrooms. Each bedroom two single beds and an en-suite bathroom, one with a shower and the other with a bath. The rooms accommodate four guests, and there is a single bed sleeper couch in the lounge that can be utilised if necessary for one additional guest. The cottage has an open-plan kitchenette and lounge with a wooden deck where you can sip sun downers, relax and enjoy the spectacular views. There is a portable braai & safe parking on the property.

* *The cottage has steps leading up to its entrance, so is unfortunately not suitable for elderly or infirm guests, or those confined to wheelchairs.
