About De Cango
De Cango is a beautiful farmhouse overlooking the Swartberg Mountains, situated about 25 km from Oudtshoorn. The house consists of a spacious sleeping area, a private bathroom with a copper freestanding bath, an open-plan living area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Extra beds for children can be added on request.There is firewood provided for the braai area, and the house is serviced at a nominal fee. Solar power is used for electricity, with gas geysers.Activities in the area include hiking trails, fishing in the dams and rivers, and visiting the historical sites. The famous Cango Caves is
We run a game breeding operation on the farm and we can organise sightings of the animals provided it is weather permitting and outside breeding periods. We do however not offer game drives at this stage.
The house is family friendly with a beautiful enclosed garden for children to play in.
We are completely off the beaten track offering privacy in the beautiful mountains. Two original fireplaces creat a cosy, romantic setting.
